Dr Lionel Wainstein
Before being placed on the orthodontics specialist register of the General Dental Council, Dr Wainstein had extensive experience in general cosmetic dentistry and has been involved in a continuing programme of post graduate study in both cosmetic dentistry in general and orthodontics in particular.
He is a graduate of the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education and the Misch Institute for Advanced Implant Dentistry, both in the United States of America. He is a founder member of the Association of Dental Implantology of Great Britain. Over the last few years he has developed an extensive knowledge of adult and child orthodontics, using non-extraction techniques.
Sterility at the practice
We pride ourselves on a very high standard of sterility and cross-infection control and all our staff are carefully trained in these techniques. We sterilise our instruments using an autoclave which destroys bacteria and viruses. We also use disposable instruments which are thrown away after use. Dentists and nurses always wear disposable sterile gloves when working which are changed for each patient.
We are very aware of the dangers of cross-infection. We would like you to be reassured that we take every possible precaution.
