Dr Lionel Wainstein - Specialist Orthodontist London
Dr Lionel Wainsteinstudied dentistry first in South Africa and then continued in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, where he obtained his primary dental qualification. After a period on the staff at Newcastle Dental Hospital he went into general practice where he gained invaluable experience in general dentistry.
He moved to Harley Street in 1974 where his interests expanded to encompass all aspects of Cosmetic Dentistry, Crown and Bridgework, Periodontology (gum disease), Orthodontics and Implantology. Since qualifying he has been involved in a continuous programme of post graduate education both in the UK and abroad. he is a graduate of the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education and the Misch Institute for Advanced Implant Dentistry, both in the United States of America. He is a founder member of the Association of Dental Implantology of Great Britain. Over the last few years he has developed an extensive knowledge of adult and child orthodontics, using non-extraction techniques.
His name is on the Orthodontic Specialist list of the General Dental Council.

FEES
Our current fees are available on request but until your first consultation we will not be able to assess your individual needs. It is only then that we will be able to give you a written personal estimate. We believe that our fees represent excellent value for the high standard of work that we produce. We are also happy to arrange monthly payment plans to suite your personal needs. |

OPENING HOURS
We are open from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
The nearest undergrounds are Bond Street or Oxford Circus (5 min walk)
Ticketed parking is available outside our door and throughout the immediate area. |

STERILITY AT THE PRACTICE
We pride ourselves on a very high standard of sterility and cross-infection control and all our staff are carefully trained in these techniques. We sterilise our instruments using an autoclave which destroys bacteria and viruses. We also use disposable instruments which are thrown away after use. Dentists and nurses always wear disposable sterile gloves when working which are changed for each patient.
We are very aware of the dangers of cross-infection. We would like you to be reassured that we take every possible precaution. |

TREATING THE NERVOUS PATIENT
In most cases previously nervous patients feel so relaxed in an atmosphere of calm and professional confidence that they soon lose any feelings of tension.
Occasionally, however, we encounter a patient who has such deep seated fear resulting from a previous experience that we employ a variety of relaxation techniques to make a visit to our practice stress free and rewarding. The specific technique is tailored to suite the needs of the individual. |
