In a stress free, unhurried but professional atmosphere we will take an accurate history of your past dental and medical experiences and listen carefully to you.
In our modern and comfortable practice all new patients are immediately aware that their requirements are listened to with careful attention before any clinical examinations take place. From the very first visit the patient is made aware that he or she is being looked after as an individual in a caring, unhurried, relaxed atmosphere.
Only after you have communicated all information to us and we have answered all your questions will you then be carefully and gently examined.
Most of our patients come to us with a specific dental need. They may have crooked, crowded or missing teeth, yellow stained teeth or they may be suffering pain from teeth or gums.
Often a cosmetic problem has a functional basis and we are dedicated not only to providing you with a beautiful smile but at the same time healthy and pain free gums and teeth and freedom from painful jaw joints and chronic headaches.
We usually are able to give the patient a broad picture of what in necessary to restore the mouth to maximum health, function and beauty.
If the first problem is pain we will of course deal with this immediately.
During the initial consultation digital X-rays are used to detect problems of the teeth and gums.
This means that there is no waiting for X-rays to be developed as they show immediately on the computer screen and with greater clarity than ever before. In addition, radiation is reduced by markedly compared to traditional x-rays. Today our X-rays are safer than they have ever been. |

EVALUATION AND DIAGNOSIS
Dr Wainstein will initially have a full unhurried discussion with you to establish your dental concerns. He will then conduct a full clinical examination of your teeth and gums to ascertain if there are any health problems that have a direct bearing on your current problem or which may be significant in the future. He will then discuss the ideal approach to achieve a perfect result or alternative treatment plans if appropriate. At this stage you may be invited to have a period of reflection at home and then set up another appointment to take photographs, x-rays and study models in order to evaluate and diagnose your concern scientifically.
If you are a suitable case for invisible braces, these results will be evaluated in the Invisalign laboratory in America and a computerized clini-check will be made available for you to see the progressive changes to your teeth and jaws from start to finish.
It is only after you fully understand the entire treatment plan and approve, do we proceed with any active treatment. |
